All is Quiet on the Home Front...

Well, it was supposed to be 1-3 months after our first adoption decree that we would receive news on our final decree. It is now officially over 3 months and no news. They have tried to check on our case over in Taiwan, but the court just says that it is still pending. I wish I had more exciting news than "no news", but this is where we are at...waiting and waiting. Our whole adoption process has taken 13 1/2 months so far. If anyone had told me at the onset that it would be this long until I could hold my little one again, I don't know if I could have let her get back on that plane to the orphanage. OK, I know I had no choice, but it is really hard to think of her in limbo this whole time wondering what is really going to happen. My weak human heart is breaking a little, but as Pastor Chuck said a couple weeks ago, "Delay does not mean denial." I'm comforting myself with those words as we go forward and hope that everything really is going along fine with our case. Whatever happens, I know my Lord loves His little Trina and it will all work out fine. I miss her. Please keep praying. We sooo appreciate it.

Happy Birthday, Baby Girl!

My youngest gem, Christina, turns 7 today! I cannot express the love I feel for this girl. The Lord has made her truly unique and I'm so proud of her. I have seen her face her challenges head on with a persistence and strength that I greatly admire. Happy birthday, my adorable, affectionate, bright, loving, "effervescent girl...who likes to dance in the rain."(Quote from our homestudy) I am forever grateful for you!

Christina shows her "girlie" side at a friend's party.

Christina loves tae kwon do.

That's my strong girl!

She gives great hugs!

My little scientist enjoys the butterflies we grew from caterpillars.

She is a lover of life!
